Bernard Seymour established BSLA in 1996 with the aspiration to contribute a rigorous and creative approach to landscape design and planning. The practice has a diverse range of projects, varying in scale from private developments to significant public schemes, encompassing planning, forest amenity, historic estate restoration, parks, urban design projects and commercial work. The client base ranges from government agencies, publicly listed development companies, local authorities and private clients. An element of non-fee earning work is also undertaken.

The practice has won a number of awards for completed projects, including 3 Irish Landscape Institute awards and has been published in Topos (German language European magazine for landscape architecture) and ’Jardines Insurgentes’. (The Catalogues of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th European Landscape Biennial).
